Create your Digital Library With Notes (DLWN) and add that list of recommended books to your Digital Portfolio (a Free Website Project)

John Vornle shared a list of RECOMMENDED BOOKS with NOTES.  This is a Digital Library With Notes (DLWN).
You can create your own "annotated list of good books."
Studetns who have a digital portfolio (a free website where they show their academic work) can have a page with five or ten books that the students recommend. James Clear has done a remarkable job of inspiring people to read more.

James Clear has over 100,000 subscribers to his email newsletter.
Here's what one of his "best ten books" lists looks like:

Look at his thoughtful and careful design in his website and the various lists:

The link to Amazon allows you to click on the image and go into the book...
For example:  CLICK HERE
You will find this excerpt from the book.

James Clear could go one step farther:
Tell us WHY?, SUMMARY, and WHERE?
Why should we read this book?
What is the book about? **Summary**
WHERE can I get a sample or an excerpt?

Example
The Big Picture:  Education is Everybody's Business
Littky, Dennis with Samantha Grabelle (2004)
WHY?  Littky was the guy brought into Rhode Island by Commissioner of Education Peter McWalter to create a school with projects and mentors.  MetCenter.org is worth visiting.
Summary:  This book has a string of inspiring quotes, a list of good books (what's on the shelf of Dennis Littky?)
WHAT's NEXT?  Go to LeavingToLearn.org
search "TEDx NYED Dennis Littky" to get a 2010 lecture about College Unbound
WHERE?  Get an excerpt TinyURL.com/LittkyChapter1 and TinyURL.com/LittkyChapter4.  You can get the book in Spanish by going to TransformTeaching.org and search "Leaving to Learn Spanish 10 Expectations" and a list of 10 questions at TinyURL.com/10ExpectationsSpanish
Now, do you have a good idea about why you should read the book?  It's a bit more work than making a list of 10 good books.
